Allen enjoyed a 25-year career in banking before migrating to New Zealand in 2000.

Since arriving in New Zealand, Allen has been an Adviser and Consultant to The Tindall Foundation and became a personal and business risk management insurance Adviser in April 2005. Allen joined Quantum Broker Group as a Portfolio Manager for Cave Financial Consulting in mid-June 2009. He now oversees operations at Cave Financial Consulting as Practice Manager. His practical experience and solid understanding of personal and business risk management insurance has equipped him to provide support to Michael Cave and his Team.

Allen has been involved in a range of not-for-profit activities over many years and recently retired as a Trustee of The Duke of Edinburgh's Hillary Award after more than 30 years' service. He is an Order Member of St. John.

Allen loves to spend time with his family; he has a keen interest in art and music and collects antique English and European silver, specialising in tableware.
